Description
How are they made?
To make a pair of Egos slippers takes time and requires skills. One worker can produce 2 pairs of shoes a day.
The raw wool is dyed with environmentally friendly colours. Then the wool is mapped, and the work on the shape of the shoe can begin.
The carded wool is formed. Seawater masks into the wool, causing the small fibres in the wool to cling. The wet felt shoe is then dried under the sun. Then add another insole of felt so the shoe becomes extra comfortable. The outer suede sole is finally sewn on.
How to care for your slippers
To keep your egos slippers clean, we recommend that you vacuum them regularly to remove dust. You can also gently clean stains by using a slightly wet cloth and a mild wool soap. Repeat the process a few times as needed, making sure the shoes dry completely between cleanings. After washing, while the shoes are still wet, it’s a good idea to put them on so they can mold perfectly to your foot again. Then take them off and leave them to dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Rubber soles can be wiped with a wet cloth and need time to dry after cleaning. If your shoes have suede soles, these can be brushed and cleaned with a leather brush. Be aware that natural rubber or leather soles can become slippery on wet and icy surfaces such as tiles or outdoor tiles.
Please note that color differences may occur from production to production due to the natural wool.
